Terms of Use — PDF Reader

Last updated 15 August 2026

By using PDF Reader you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What you may do

Use the app on any device you own, for personal or commercial purposes, free of charge. This is a licence to use it, not a transfer of ownership.

What you may not do

Your documents are yours

The app claims no ownership of anything you open or create with it, and PrahantLabs has no access to your files.

You are responsible for having the right to open, change, sign or translate the documents you use it on, and for what you do with the results.

Keep your own copy

Editing tools change documents. Keep a copy of anything important before you edit it.

Files kept only inside the app are deleted when the app is uninstalled. Use Save as, or the copy in Documents/PDF Reader, to keep something permanently.

Machine translation and recognition

Translation and text recognition are performed by machine-learning models. Both are approximate. Translation may mistranslate or omit meaning, and it produces a reflowed copy rather than a replica of the original layout. Recognition misreads handwriting, faint print and photographs taken at an angle.

Do not rely on either for anything legal, medical, financial or otherwise consequential without having it checked by a qualified person.

Signatures

A signature added with this app is a picture placed on a page. Whether that counts as a valid signature is a question of the law and the agreement in question, and this app makes no claim either way.

No warranty

The app is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted or error-free, nor to handle every PDF correctly — the format is large and some files are unusual or malformed.

Limits of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, PrahantLabs is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, nor for lost, corrupted or damaged files, arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
