Quotely is developed by PrahantLabs. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: there is no account, nothing you write or save leaves your phone, and the app measures how it is used so we know what to improve.
Quotely has no account, no sign-up and no login. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number, and we have no way to identify you personally.
The app uses two Google services:
Google Analytics for Firebase — records which screens you open, which reading language is set, and which actions are used: saving a card, sharing one, changing its style, opening a poet’s collection. This is how we learn which languages and which moods deserve more verses. It is read as counts across all readers, never as a profile of one.
Firebase Crashlytics — if the app crashes, it reports the error and the screen it happened on, so the fault can be found and fixed.
Both services also collect standard technical detail: a randomly generated installation identifier, device model, operating-system version, country, and app version. That identifier is not your Google account, and it is discarded when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
We do not collect the text you read, the cards you save, or anything you type. We do not sell data, we do not use it for advertising, and Quotely shows no ads.
Google processes this data on our behalf; its own handling is described at policies.google.com/privacy.
There is no in-app switch for this today. Uninstalling Quotely stops all collection and discards the installation identifier. If you would like an in-app control, write to us — it is a fair thing to ask for.
The app saves a small amount of state locally so it behaves sensibly between sessions:
This never leaves your phone. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
Notifications — used only for the optional daily verse, and only if you allow it. If you decline, the app works exactly the same without the reminder. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
Quotely requests no other permissions. It does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos or files.
When you share a card, the app writes the image to your device’s temporary folder and hands it to Android’s share sheet. Where it goes from there is entirely your choice — we are not involved and cannot see it.
All quotes and shayari are bundled inside the app and work offline. The only network request the app can make is to download display fonts once, from Google Fonts, which are then cached on your device. No personal data is sent with that request.
Quotely is suitable for general audiences and collects no data from anyone, including children.
